An Exploration of Tulips in Art

Specialist flower grower and tulip expert Polly Nicholson has been cultivating historic species of tulips for more than 15 years, earning her the status of the holder of the National Collection of Tulipa (historic). On the occasion of the release of Phaidon’s The Tulip Garden, join her for an exploration of the rich cultural history of this beloved bloom, often depicted in artworks throughout the centuries, and hear how she has nurtured what has grown into the largest private collection of historic varieties in the United Kingdom.
