Sustainable Tulip Workshop at Benton End

Polly Nicholson at Blackland House

Join flower grower and tulip expert Polly Nicholson for a special day at Benton End, immersed in the world of tulips.

Polly will share her love and knowledge of tulips, covering how to choose, grow, collect, cut, and arrange them—focusing on species, rare, and annual varieties.

The day begins with a talk from Polly about growing tulips in her own garden, her favorite planting combinations, and tips on care and planting. After lunch, you'll take part in a hands-on workshop, planting your own pot of species tulips to take home.

You'll also have time to explore the historic house and garden at Benton End, once home to artist and plantsman Cedric Morris and now being restored by the Garden Museum.

The day includes tea, coffee, lunch, and your potted tulips to take home.
